I was still blur. Walked into the kitchen, eyes half closed. Transfixed onto 3 moving objects, and my eyes wide opened. Heart throbbing. Nervous.
They were ugly faces and moving legs of scary cockroaches. One medium sized teenager roach and 2 babies.
Smack! Smack! Smack!
I rolled up some newspaper and killed them all!
I'm so proud of myself. Calmed and cool... I murdered them and chucked them into the bin.
When I dumped something else into the bin, the teenage roach tried to grasp its last chance to escape. Did I not kill you? I closed the lid of the bin, crushed it on the belly, leaving its head exposed.
With the help of a thick kitchen towel, I squeezed its head and it snapped into half, leaving no room for survival.
So proud of myself. I murdered them. Cool and calm.
No way they are going to have a chance to "play" with my child. Though I'm still wondering where did they come from? Roof maintenance? Lift upgrading? I wonder.
Thank God they couldn't fly.

Bent your nees!
I went to my very first Hot Yoga session this afternoon. I tried yoga years ago and hated the slow pace of it. It's always very cold at the gym back in Melbourne and I always looked at the clock frequently hoping the minute hand would spin faster. The coldness added to the discomfort of the yoga class that I couldn't bear the torture and stopped going for yoga ever since.
When something is hot, most likely it's good except for beer and ice cream.
It never crossed my mind that Yoga... a hot one... could give me this level of exhaustion. I have sore muscles all over my body and a good sleep is on top of my most wanted list for the remaining hours of the day and it all translates into - I had a surprisingly good workout!
Despite the good workout for my body, I had a good workout for my mind too. Can you imagine how does an Indian robot sound like? Try... the voice of an annoying call center guy from India speaking to you monotone. Then change it into "Robot" mode.
I had to use all my will power to focus on balancing my body for the "Boat" pose and try to comprehend what was the complex instruction mumbled out of heavily accented Inglish of the made in India instructor for the next pose.
"Bent your nees. Bent! More! More!"
Okay.. I'll bent!
