there is a little surprise everyday

It's been really gloomy for the whole day. Gray sky. Pouring rain. It's so bad that makes everyone sleepy... and a little moody.

Something will cheer you up when it's least expected. Even though it's the smallest thing.
They are the sprouts from the choy sum pot! Yes we are growing choy sum in this little pot!
We bought the seeds from the market and planted it last Sunday.
It's only Day 4. They are really growing, even though in this pathetic little pot!

There is no balcony and definitely no land in the flat that I'm staying. There is a big pineapple plant next to the choy sum pot. I have to put the gigantic pineapple on a higher "ground" as it's almost poking to my eyes when I walk towards the window.
Why choy sum? I think because they are the easiest ones to grow from all the packet seeds from the store, far more easier than cactus. My little cactus that I bought from Cameron Highlands died in 2 weeks when I had them while I was 12. The snail ate the cactus. That's why escargot is one of my favourite dish now. Now the snails would have died on the journey climbing up the stairs to the flat... even though they are smart enough to go by the lift, they would be having a yucky death as the Singaporeans won't be patient enough to hold the door for them.

Anyway, the growing sprouts have really brighten up my day...

Life is a miracle!
