i thought i've picked up a copy of Shop...

Spotted a new mag at TopShop - Project Smitten and it was crying out loud "buy me buy me!"
What's worse? It says "Shopping is Life" which matches how I live currently! I think this mag is just for me... and the cover worths 5 bucks for creativity.


The model looks hot, isn't she? Seriously, it even has a page describing how to get the cover gal look!
Flipping through the mag, I thought that I have picked up a copy of good aussie's Shop Til You Drop, except that the shops introduced are actually in Singapore.

There are too many similarities between the mags. For example, in Smitten there is a section about what the editors have bought, foreign exchange (they didn't even bother to change the title of the section?), section for niche home decors... everything and even the flow of the mag is "coincidently" as found in Shop!

Hmm.. the only difference is Project Smitten is published by Viscion whereas Shop is by ACP Magazines.

Seriously, I'm really glad that finally there is a pure shopping magazine in Singapore! It's been so long since I've got my issue of Shop til You Drop from my Brisbane trip in July. I'm dead bored reading those mags in Singapore until I've stopped buying them. Too much information on how to survive a relationship, how to kick-ass at work place... bla bla bla... and the contents are recycled every year... bah!

Anyway, it's kinda annoying about the similarities between the two mags.... smart school kids even know how to shuffle the contents of their project to avoid looking too similar with the work from last year's top 3 projects.
